The lake palace is the white building in the middle of the lake Pichola in Udaipur, Rajasthan, India. The lake palace is visible from this balcony on the bank of the lake, I imagined perhaps the lady from the royal family might have looked out like this gazing at the lake palace.
Centuries ago King built lake palace for his entertainment. Dynasties rose, dynasties fell, and that shimmering spectacle is now The Taj Lake Palace Hotel. Once a playground for royals, now a luxury retreat, the constant element that has perpetuated through all these centuries is 'entertainment'!
Udaipur is popularly called "Venice of India" because it is located on the shores of the picturesque Lake Pichola with many beautiful buildings, palaces and forts like in Venice, Italy.
