A young couple enjoying the good life also has some evening challenges to deal with. The gentleman is ready for the party, but they will finally go out when the wife is ready, and he also has to help her dress to impress!
It's a virtue if a man can wait patiently for his wife to dress up, once in a while saying, 'take your time honey, we are in no hurry.'
So here's the conversation that is the inspiration for this painting.
He: Why, what happened to your red dress? You look so good in that. She: All of my friends and the whole world have seen that dress, so you have to choose which one of these two I should wear to the party.
