The Inheritors of the Earth

I am privileged to know some incredible young adults. They grew up right before my eyes. Now, they often visit to engage with my art. As I began creating this piece, I felt a deep sense of responsibility towards them.

It’s about finding the right harmony, the perfect fit to truly inherit the earth. Some emotions and connections are timeless. I hope that you find that balance with one another, like a cow for a bull or a lion for a lioness.

Signature

This has a lot of small motifs supporting the central idea. When I thought of a live dog I had to do a German shepherd dog who I know so well and love to do at every opportunity I get! He gets excited around friendly dogs and I always wonder how the dogs would react to robot dogs!

The German shepherd I love to paint

The painting has multiple layers of color to bring out the texture. I apply three layers of gesso initially. Gesso acts as a primer, sealing the linen, providing a stable and consistent surface for painting. Then I apply a layer of under painting (as shown below) before applying oil paints.

Enjoyed creating this artwork as this is a happy artwork I have created after a long time. With time my focus has shifted towards future and next generation. Also I think about the challenge thrown by AI to emotional well being of humans.
